Goal

Our goal for the Played with Heart Golf Girls League is to introduce girls to golf in a fun and girl-friendly fashion while building a community where they can play and learn the game together, alongside other girls.

League Structure

Girls will learn the game, play, and compete alongside other girls in a "team" atmosphere wearing matching team outfits. The Winter Season will be comprised of five sessions occurring bi-weekly on Sundays, beginning Sunday, January 28th. Each session will consist of a brief practice session with one of our female professional/college golfers, followed by a friendly competition on the Cupp Par-3 Course at the Golf Club of Georgia (girls will be separated into different age groups, so the number of holes played will vary depending on age division). As the league develops, we plan to form teams where girls will compete against one another, building camaraderie. We will eventually follow a similar team format to that of Little League Baseball.

Objective

The objective of this format is to introduce girls to golf starting from the green, working their way back to the tee box. Each week, they will progress further from the green, learning a new skill while building upon the previous skills learned. As we follow this format, girls will not only learn golf skills, but they will become familiar with the game of golf as a whole- putting green, fairway, tee box, scoring, etiquette, overall objective of the game and more. The best part of the program is that they will have a team of girls to learn the game of golf with!

FAQ:

What if I don't have golf clubs?

No worries at all! Bring your clubs if you have them, but if not, we will provide golf clubs!

What if I can't attend every session?

No worries! We encourage you to attend all sessions, but we understand you may miss a session! If so, just let us know the dates you will be missing ahead of time.
